This Could Go Either Way....
Either this could be the greatest nostalgia throwback in years, or it could be a great steaming pile of shit. I'm hoping for the first.
According to Sean Astin, a sequel to the 80's classics "The Goonies" is "an absolute certainty."
Now, I doubt it's an absolute certainty. There've been false starts and rumors before, as evidenced here (concept art for an animated sequel, as done by the character designer for Clerks: The Animated Series). And, as I said earlier, it could just end up being something that causes children of the 1980's to gouge out their eyes in pain.
But inside me right now? There's a 5 year old screeching in delight and anticipation.
